Return of study entitlement (neglect of registration obligation)

This form informs the Study Services of you having paid the processing fee for return of study entitlement.

Please use this form if you have neglected registration obligation and apply for return of study entitlement.

This form is not to be used if you did not remember to apply for extension time.

This form is only for Professional Teacher Education students.

Please read the guidelines carefully and follow them.
1. Pay the processing fee of the application. Save the receipt in an electronic form. The filing number of the online bank receipt has to be visible.
2. Fill in the form.
3. Save the form, which takes you to the following page.
4. Attach the receipt and send it.
5. Click Save Ready

A fee of 50 euros will be collected on processing of the application. It has to be paid before filling in the application. The application form is not saved if the receipt is not attached.
The fee is paid to the bank account of Tampere University of Applied Sciences Ltd

Degree Regulations

TAMK Degree Regulations 15 § Duration of study right (normative duration and statutory extension time)
Studies have to be completed during the duration of the study right. The duration of the study right starts when applicants have accepted the study place, TAMK has registered them as students and students have registered for attendance for the first time.

TAMK Degree Regulations 13 § Registration for attendance or non-attendance
To preserve their study right, students have to register for attendance or non-attendance each academic year during the duration of the study right as stipulated by TAMK. The registration obligation applies to all students in degree-awarding education and professional teacher educations. Continuing students register in accordance with TAMK's guidelines.

Loss of study right
If students neglect their registration obligation for attendance or non-attendance during the normative duration of the study right, they will lose their study right.

Return of study right
The student may apply for return of the study right lost due to negligence of the registration obligation from the beginning of the application month. The online application form with appendices has to be delivered to the Study Services. A statutory fee is collected on processing of the application.

The student may apply for return of the study entitlement lost due to neglect of registration obligation from the beginning of the application month. For example: The application was sent and the fee paid on 17 August. The study entitlement can be returned from 1 August.

Processing fee and registration of decision

The decision is entered to the student administration system when the 50-euro processing fee of the return application has been paid and the study entitlement return application has been sent.
Processing of the matter takes 1-5 days. You will be informed of the decision by text message. If further information is needed, you will be sent a text message or email. Please check the contact information you gave above.
